February 2013
- February 9 – Pertman will present at the Herbert and Elinor Nootbaar Institute on Law, Religion and Ethics Conference at Pepperdine University. The conference will be focused on the important and complex topic of intercountry adoption.
- February 21 – Pertman will conduct a day-long Adoption Competency training session for the Hillside Children's Center in Syracuse, NY. The focus will be on Transracial/Transcultural Adoptions.
March 2013
- March 9 – Research & Project Director David Brodzinsky will conduct a workshop entitled "Talking with children about adoption" at a multi-agency-sponsored conference, “Adoption: A Lifelong Journey,” in Oakland, CA.
April 2013
- April 5 – Brodzinsky will present a workshop titled "Adoption disruption and dissolution: Issues and interventions" at the Santa Clara County Child Abuse Symposium in Santa Clara, CA.
- April 10 – Pertman will offer a keynote address, "Rethinking Adoption in the 21st Century," at the American Adoption Congress' International Adoption Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
- April 12 – Pertman will keynote "Untangling the Web: The Internet's Transformative Impact on Adoption" at the 5th Annual New Worlds of Adoption Conference at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
- April 13 – Pertman will be the featured speaker and conduct a workshop at the Barker Foundation Adoption and Foster Care Conference in Chevy Chase, MD.
- April 15 – Pertman will present "Rethinking Adoption in the 21st Century" at the Child Welfare League of America Conference at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Washington, DC.
May 2013
- May 21 – Pertman will present “Best Practices in Intercountry Adoption: Improving Children’s Prospects for Living in Families” at Joint Council’s 37th International Child Welfare Symposium at The Conference Center in New York.
June 2013
- June 20, 21 & 28 – David Brodzinsky, Research & Project Director, will discuss "Identity and loss in adopted adolescence: Helping parents help their children" at a June 20 workshop in Clovis, CA sponsored by Aspiranet and the Fresno County Department of Children and Family Services. He will present "Preparing and supporting the adoption of older and special needs children" the next day in Madera, CA. On the 28th, he will discuss the "Inner world of adopted children: Professional and parenting implications" at a workshop in Visalia, CA.
