Putting Research into Action: Educating Adoption Attorneys
The Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute – nationally recognized for its ethics-based policy and education initiatives – is now putting research into practice by offering continuing legal education courses for adoption attorneys. The Adoption Institute already addresses legal and policy issues affecting adoption through legal advocacy in our legislative system and courts and by issuing Policy Perspective briefs and papers. Now, by bringing together years of research and the knowledge and practice of experienced adoption attorneys, we are providing ethics-based continuing legal education courses to inform and educate attorneys as they navigate through the complicated legal issues of interstate, intrastate and international adoption practice.

About our CLE Courses
All Continuing Legal Education Courses provided by the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute are available on DVDs, which will be mailed via Priority Mail after payment is verified; we are also working to provide online downloads in the future. Depending on a given state's requirements for certification of a course, the participant will complete an evaluation, test or certification for submission to the Adoption Institute. Once the requirements are met and received by the Adoption Institute, the requisite Certificate of Attendance/Completion will be sent to the participant for submission to his/her respective State Bar.more

CLE Formats and Description
Continuing Legal Education Courses are composed of recorded conference sessions and/or papers and research presented by attorneys. All CLE courses provide the presenters' biographical sketches, appropriate references and qualifications. Each Course has been approved for use by the state in which it is being offered. Depending on your state Bar's continuing legal education requirements, some courses also are accepted by other states. Check with your state Bar about the requirements for accepting out-of-state CLE courses.
